The rest of the episode was pretty much what we have come to expect from Vanitas as a show. This episode did wonders for the relationship between Vanitas and Noe. Vanitas made fantastic use of that by placing the aftermath of the Noe-Vanitas battle in the forefront and thus acting as an emotional anchor for the entire episode. As we talked about in our Genius Prince Review, when done sparsely and before important moments, a cold open can increase the tension and anticipation of said moment tenfold. The second thing that viewers would have noted was the cold open and the title card in the front instead of the end.
